The Chairman, North-Central Governors’ Forum and Governor of Niger State, Alhaji Abubakar Sani Bello, Saturday expressed deep shock and sadness over the death of Malam Abba Kyari, the Chief of Staff to President Muhammadu Buhari.
Mallam Abba Kyari died Friday night of Coronavirus (COVID-19) disease, in a Lagos Hospital where he was receiving treatment.
He tested positive to the virus last month.
Governor Sani Bello, in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Mrs. Mary Noel Berje, obtained by SummitNews commiserated with the Presidency, family, friends and the people of Nigeria over the death of the late chief of staff to President Buhari.
The governor eulogised the exemplary leadership qualities of the deceased, noting that the demise of the CoS is indeed, a great loss to the nation, as he was dedicated to nation-building and committed to national integration.
He also described late Abba Kyari as a simple, straightforward and loyal officer, stressing that his selfless service would be greatly missed in the Presidency.
The governor urged President Buhari and friends of the deceased, to take solace in the fact that every living soul must taste death.
Governor Sani Bello prayed Allah to forgive the shortcomings of the deceased; grant him Aljannat Firdausi and the family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
