Abia community on the road to rapid development As Eze Kenneth Nwafor Okorie assumes Kingship position – From Chukwudi Ejimofor

It was pomp and pageantry at Obulo Primary School ground in Amaubah Autonomous Community, Umunneochi Local Government Area of Abia state during the coronation ceremony of His Royal Highness, Eze (Engr.) Kenneth Nwafor Okorie, as the Ubah 11 of Amaubah Autonomous community.

The epoch-making ceremony commenced with Mass Service to usher in the new custodian of culture and tradition of Amaubah Autonomous community as the atmosphere went agog on Saturday 10th April.

Addressing newsmen at the event, the visibly elated Eze Kenneth N. Okorie attributed his choice for the throne to his contributions toward the development of  Ndi-Amaubah and Amaubah community, stressing that his coronation is a call to duty.

”Today is a great day in my life, my family and Amaubah Autonomous community in particular and Umunneochi in general. It is about the culture and tradition of Amaubah and the installation and coronation of kingship in our community. It is to coronate the traditional headship of our community.  I am coroneted today as the paramount ruler, Ubah 11 of Amaubah Autonomous community in Ununneochi LGA Abia State. 

“In my community, I have been a philanthropist of repute, one way or the other.   Through God’s wisdom and grace we have touched the lives of our people. Now that am bestowed with this responsibility,  I will redouble my efforts towards the development of Amubah Autonomous community and Ndi-Amaubah in general. Am praying for good health, long life, God’s guidance and wisdom to increase in my philanthropic gestures to my people,” Eze Kenneth Okorie stated.

Ichie Christopher Ekevuba MOW, Ezekwesiri 1 of Amaubah, the kingmaker who performed the coronation rites, traced the historical essence of the day’ event.

”The Obulo, Eziama, Nneato and Eze-In-Council of Amaubah Autonomous community today 10th April 2021 in consensus coronate HRH Eze Engr. Kenneth Okorie as Ubah 11 of Amaubah Autonomous community.

”I am Ichie Christopher Ekevuba MOW, Ezekwesiri 1 Amaubah, by the customs, tradition, and in consensus with our community bestowed in me the authority to crown the Eze of the Amaubah Autonomous community.

The kingship in our community is rotatory, it has never been in conflict; the demise of Ubah 1 necessitated the coronation of Eze Engr. Kenneth N. Okorie, Ubah 11 today 10th April 2021 here at Obolu Primary School ground in Amaubah Autonomous community in Umunneochi LGA Abia State.

“As philanthropist with good heart, Eze Kenneth is a trusted worthy vibrant person that can shoulder the responsibility of this community. He has promised that because we have reposed this enormous confidence in him, he will lead us in honour and honesty, and there shall be  continuous peace, progress and prosperity in Umaubah Autonomous community,” Ichie Christopher Ekevuba stated.

Mr. Linus Esonu, the President General Amaubah Autonomous community, said that the process of selection of Eze Kenneth Okorie went through thorough processes and his emergence was in agreement of all the kindred in the community.

”Today is a great day in the history of our community, as we crown Eze Engr. Kenneth Okorie, the Ubah 11 of Amubah Autonomous community. It wasn’t an easy process to get to this level of the process of the coronation.

“We thank the Almighty God who made the today’s event possible, and successful in the life of our community,” the   Presiden- General said.

Chief Jude Orji, Chairman Eze-In-Council Amaubah Autonomous community said that the council is full support of the coronation because process went through the outlined statutory processes of the community.

”The Eze-In-Council is the back bone of His Royal Highness we hold brief for him if he not available in a given period. All the kindred in out Autonomous community is represented in the council and we are all here today to crown our Royal Highness. The Council is in full support of the coronation ceremony” Chief Jude Orji expressed.

Chief Chidiebere Uzoh member Eze-In-Council eulogise the emergence the Eze maintained that Amaubah community will witness a rebirth in all areas of human development.

Eze Engr. Kenneth N. Okorie is peaceful man, a philanthropist to the core, this is the reason the entire people of Amubah Autonomous community in unison decided to crown him as their Eze for him to continue with his good works for humanity our community will witness a rebirth. Chief Uzoh averred.

The event featured traditional dances, masquerade displays and goodwill messages.

The event was attended by the Chairman,  Umunneochi LGA Traditional Rulers Council,  business moguls and dignitaries from all parts of the globe.
