Gov. Ugwuanyi acts on legal advice
Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, of Enugu state, will on Monday, June 29, swear-in Barrister Cosmas Ugwueze, vice chairman, Nsukka Local Government Area, as the substantive chairman of the council.
This follows the recent death of the democratically elected council Chairman, Hon. Patrick Omeje jnr.
A statement by the Commissioner for Information, Nnanyelugo Chidi Aroh, made available to SummitNews in Enugu, said the government’s decision to swear-in Barrister Ugwueze, was sequel to an advice by the state Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Chief Miletus Eze,

According to a statement the event, will hold at the Executive Council Chambers, Lion Building, Government House, Enugu, at 2pm.
Aroh disclosed that only the 20 councillors and the vice chairman, who will be sworn-in as substantive chairman, are expected to attend the ceremony in line with the protocols and regulations of the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC)
