Transmission Company of Nigeria to build 330KVA sub-station in Minna

Gov. Bello: Committed to stable electricity. 

The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) is to construct a 330Kva substation in Minna, the Niger state capital, Summit News can now report.

Announcing this in Minna after a meeting between TCN officials led by Mr. Panguru K. Lantham, and members of the state Power Stability Committee (PSC) headed by the state Deputy Governor Alhaji Mohammed Ketso, the Secretary of PSC Abdullberqy U. Ebbo, said the project will be located around Maikunkele, in Bosso Local Government Area of the state 

According to him, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Lands, Dr. Abdull Hussaini led the team to inspect the land where the project will be sited.

 He was accompanied on the trip by Surveyor General of the state, Idris Auna, Director Town Planning and Director of Lands.

The substation when completed will complement the already existing substations in the state, and is also expected to improve power supply to consumers. 

Ebbo who is also the director-general, strategic operations, ICT and public enlightenment,  said further that arrangements are underway for the acquisition and payment of compensation for the land, adding that the processes will be completed soon so that work will commence in earnest. 

According to him, the project constitutes part of Governor Abubakar Sani Bello’s efforts to ensure that the state enjoys stable power supply.
